Will of Walter Mansell

In the name of God , Amen I Walter Mansell of the Borough of Kidwelly in the County of Carmarthen, being weak in body, but of sound and perfect memory, considering the uncertainty of this Mortal Life, blessed be of Almighty God for the same, do make & publish do make and publish this my last Will & Testament in manner & form following (that is to say). First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Catherine Mansell all my Leasehold Estate, Personal Estates, Goods & Chattles of what kind & nature soever during her lifetime provided she gives all necessary for living to my daughter Catherine Mansell during the life of my beloved wife, and after her decease I give and bequeath to my son Walter Mansell & his executors all the Leasehold Estate Personal Estate Goods & Chattles of what kind & nature soever on his paying the under Legacies.

To my daughter Margaret the wife of John Anthony the sum of Ten Pounds five teals of barley half teal of wheat, & twenty strikes of oats. To my daughter Anne, the wife of Lewis William the sum of twenty pounds, & to my grandson David Davies the sum of ten pounds & new feather bed & its appurtenances all which Legacies is to be paid by son Walter within four years after the decease of my beloved wife the one fourth part of the said Legacies annually excepting the feather bed & its appurtenances which my grandson David Davies is to have immediately after my beloved wife's decease - & to my daughter Catherine five pounds & a room & firing annually during the extent of the Lease, but if my son Walter Mansell dies before my daughter Catherine his Executors is to pay her the sum of six pounds from the Personals immediately after his decease, lastly I appoint my beloved wife my sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testaments hereby revoking all former Wills by me made as Witness my Hand this 4th Day of August in the nineteenth year of the Reign of George the third one thousand seven hundred & eighty.
