1. | Memorand that my intention (God permitting) it so charge the aforesaid lands and tenements with the sum of £400 to be paid and satisfied by my son and heir unto his two sisters Dorothy and Anne with £200 to each of them together with their wedding apparel, the lands mentioned to be in the parish of Llangendeirn only excepted which I intend to give unto Francis Mansell my second son in performance of his mother desire. |
2. | Item out of my personal estate I propose (God permitting me) to leave to give unto my said son Francis one lease which I hold from Sir Walter Mansell of a close of land in Clygyn called Park y Brenin and to the said Francis and all the rest of my younger sons namely Walter, John, Richard, Edward and Robert the sum of £600 viz £200 to each of them to be paid by my executor within a year after my decease. |
3. | Item I do further resolve (God assisting me) to give unto my said five younger sons viz Walter, John, Richard, Edward and Robert the sum of £30 apiece to be paid to them by my executor when they shall attain to the age of 21 years and if any one or more of them die in the interim his part so dying equally to be divided between the rest of the brothers. |
4. | Finally I am resolved if please the Almighty to nominate and appoint my son Anthony to be executor of this my intended will to whom I propose to leave all the residue of my goods and chattles amounting as appeareth by this particular to the sum of £700 or thereabouts all debts and legacies discharged |
5. | Item if it happen that my said son Anthony should die before the accomplishing of this my intended will and without issue then my intention is that my son Francis shall be my executor as formerly, saving that his part and portion in the lands only given him excepted shall equally be divided between his brothers and sisters. |
6. | Item if it happen that any of my said children either son or daughter should decease before the time of payment to them to be made of their said portion, that then the part and portion of so many of them so dying shall be equally divided amongst those there surviving my executor only excepted from having any part thereof. |

Memorand if it please God to take me into his mercy before I have time to perfect this my intended Will then my desire and will is that my son and heir shall with the advise of my several good brothers and cousins Sir Walter Mansell baronet, Sir Anthony Mansell knight, Francis Mansell doctor in divinity, Thomas Vaughan, John Gwyn, John Mansel esq,. Rowland Vaughan and Edward Lloyd gent. or by the consent of the greater number of them perform this my intention as if it were fully performed and asserted by myself. And if my said son and heir shall refuse to perform the same then my desire and will is that my son Francis shall be my executor and also ........ his part of the part portion of any of his brothers and sisters if any of them happen to die before the time that the same ought to be paid. In witness of this my firm intention and desire I have hereunto subscribed my hand and set my seal the day and year above said viz. quinto die ......... March Anno Domini 1634. |
